Engine Shop Engineer

Perform Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul of Engines and Subframes within the Engine workshop Scope of Approval in a cost effective manner. In addition, using available resources improve/ increase and develop the capability of the Engine Workshop.
• Responsible for maintaining and repairing Engines and Subframes in a correct way and within the scoop of work approval that WA holds approval for.
• Works as Certifying Staff.
• Approved to create and sign for the Form One and WO in WA computer-system.
• Approved to order needed parts, material, equipment, tools to workshop activities.
• Responsible for that appropriate tools, instructions and safety equipment is used for dedicated work.
• Makes sure that the dedicated workshop facilities WA rents/owns are maintained, clean and functions in its intended role.
• Keeps records of all material Batch-numbers in workshop, for traceability on parts in stock or used in process/work.
• Plan the work in workshop and updates/informs BSC of deviations in schedules.
• Inform BSC of any irregularities, needs or concerns in regards to facilities, materials, equipment etc.
• Maintain a Safe Working Environment within the Engine workshop.
• Ensure all Maintenance manuals/ Publications and other Technical documents are followed.
• Ensure that all work carried out on Engine, or Engine components is carried out to the Standards specified in the MOE.
• Keeps current with all Company information. MOE, TDI’s, TI’s etc.
• Continually monitor the quality of work carried out within the Engine workshop. Carry out any corrective action required that is reported during Quality Audits Etc.
• During all maintenance activity always report discovered malfunction, remarks, observation according to established procedures and forms
• Be responsible to issue a SMS Pro report if a violation from the established Company Flight Safety Standard is discovered

Required Skills/Experience/knowledge:
• Must be Proactive, self-motivated & confident self-starter
• Effective interpersonal skills
• Proven problem solving and Planning & Organizing skills
• Possess confident and effective communication skills (both written & verbal)
• Used to work with computers

Required Personal Attributes:
• Flexible.
• Trustworthy

Academic/Educational Requirements
• Demonstrates a good knowledge of Engines and Equipment.
• Driver`s license.
