Technical Operations is part of SAS Operations and holds EASA Part 145 and EASA Part 147 authorizations. Technical Operations has the task of delivering airworthy aircrafts by following SAS standards, at the lowest possible cost and in accordance with SAS priorities: Safety, Punctuality and Care.

For SAS Technical Operations, we are now looking for an MRO purchaser whose task is to ensure a high material availability at MRO (Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul bases) bases where heavy maintenance is performed at the lowest possible total cost to meet the airlines needs in accordance with current regulations and processes. This is done by pro-actively establishing, distributing and following up purchase orders at suppliers and transport providers using our business system AMOS. You will collaborate with our MRO providers, spare parts suppliers, OEM's and SAS Technical Operations' other functions (Planning, Engineering, Technical Representative) to ensure an optimal logistic flow at the lowest possible cost.

In this role, the work is flexible, and no day is like another. You handle many parallel logistics processes and must be able to make well-considered decisions in critical situations. You must be strong as an individual and be able to motivate and present taken actions against affected departments within SAS and externally. You must be open to a changing work environment with varying tasks and able to solve problem under time pressure.

You are part of the organization Technical Operations Supply Chain Management MRO team and report to Material Management Manager. You will be based at our head quarter in Frösundavik. Extensive travel mainly in Europe to visit MRO bases for longer period and the 3 main Scandinavian bases are required as part of the job.

In addition to the above, you will, among other things, work on:

• Within cross-functional team review ahead of the aircraft checks jobs to be performed on the aircrafts and identify material needed

• Work process-oriented and follow the set plan that exists for the department

• Administrate SAS stock at MRO provider to secure consistent data between SAS and MRO provider business systems

• Actively update AMOS information regarding order status, purchasing information or stock level with relevant data to secure consistent flow of information for everyone

• Ownership of each order generated within the system until delivery; secure that delivery of material is done according to order requirement. Follow up and solve eventual claim.

• Act control tower for critical material needed at MRO base

• Continuously evaluate and optimize processes related to your work area

• Actively work with Stock life cycle management and handle surplus material with a business mindset

Kvalifikationskrav:
Qualifications:

• Post-secondary education in Purchasing and/or Logistics, or longer documented experience of equivalent purchasing and/or logistics work

• Documented knowledge of and/or many years' experience of inventory management in AMOS or other business systems with documented good results

• Experience of previous work in the aerospace industry and understanding of the airline industry and its regulatory management

• Very good knowledge of English and at least one of the Scandinavian languages, both orally and in writing
