SAS takes major lounge step – 35 new locations on the way
Scandinavian Airlines is introducing a major upgrade to its Business Class product, giving business travelers and other premium customers an enhanced travel experience. By partnering with established lounge operators, SAS is rapidly expanding access to high-quality lounges at key destinations, ensuring customers benefit from comfort, service, and seamless solutions on par with international standards across the SkyTeam alliance.
The initiative also represents a significant step in SAS’ long-term strategy to strengthen its premium offer. By integrating more lounges into the network, the airline is creating a smoother and more consistent journey for travelers, laying the groundwork for continued improvements in the overall customer experience.
“This is a comprehensive upgrade of our Business Class offer, with lounge access as a key part of the experience,” says Theres Briger, Head of Onground Product at SAS. “By partnering with established lounge operators, we can quickly give our customers access to a much broader network at important destinations across Europe and Scandinavia. The goal is to offer around 35 additional lounges at year-round destinations, and we already have agreements in place in cities such as Bergen, Helsinki, Billund, Stavanger and Aalborg.”
