👇 Here’s the honest picture:
• Fully funded type rating (E195 or A320) — comes with a 3-year training bond
• Permanent contract and clear salary progression.
💰 Starting salary
– A320: €3,600 / 40,610 SEK
– E195: €3,200 / 36,335 SEK
– E195 DEC (Direct Entry Captain): €5,966 / 67,030 SEK per month. This salary is locked for 4 years when entering as a DEC (no salary progression).
⚠️ PR-day model = up to 15 unpaid days/year ➜ ~8% pay cut for everyone.
Your true gross monthly salary after PR days:
– A320: €3,312 / 37,132 SEK
– E195: €2,944 / 32,995 SEK
– E195 DEC €5,494 / 61,778 SEK per month
– Pension contributions drop too, because they’re tied to the reduced salary
🗓️ Annual leave: 42 calendar days (6 weeks) — but:
– No choice of specific vacation weeks in June-August; you’re placed on a rotating summer schedule
– Every 10th year you’ll get no summer vacation
– Staff travel benefits
📈 Career path: clear pathway to Captain or FO A330/A350
– A330/A350 roles offered at 80% pay while max duty hours stay at 100%, plus 12 PR days
– Base changes only when promoted FO ➜ Captain (few exceptions)
– E195 pilots: max 14% can move to Airbus per year, usually means a 5-year E195 commitment first
– All pilots are on a 100% variable roster (hardly any fixed schedules)
– Upgrade to A320 Captain = 100% in summer, 75% in winter
– 11+ days off per month
