Levelling security charge Avgift för säkerhetskontroll – GAS
Transportstyrelsen (Swedish Transport Agency) will proceed with a decrease of the charge from the current level of 43 SEK per departing passengers, to the new proposed level of 38 SEK per departing passenger. The new charge will be effective for passengers departing Swedish airports from March 1, 2011.
Transportstyrelsen adheres to the opinions expressed by the users and proposes further decrease to 38 SEK. Released traffic statistics for Swedavia airports for October 2010 further confirms the forecast of + 3,9 % for this year and +6,5 % for 2011. This reduces the uncertainty and the risk of future increases of the charge as was the main reason for not proposing a full reduction to the break-even point of 38 SEK.
