Nordic Aero till Köpenhamns Flygplats
Publicerad den 12 maj 2006NORDIC AERO ENTERS COPENHAGEN AIRPORT WITH GROUND HANDLING - STERLING AIRLINES LAUNCH CUSTOMER.
Nordic Aero will start Ground Handling at Copenhagen Airport on June 1, with Sterling Airlines as the launching customer.
The contract signed on Wednesday, includes all Passenger and Baggage handling at Copenhagen Airport. Nordic Aero is no newcomer in the business. The company is taking care of all handling at Stockholm-Arlanda Airport, along with other customers as Icelandair, Skyways, Fly Nordic, Fly Me, Hapag Lloyd, TAP and others. 3,5 million yearly passengers is handled by Nordic Aero, and the company has a On Time performance of 98%. The company has a total of 800 employees in the Nordic countries at 19 airports.
The new parthership agreement with Sterling Airlines, will commence at Copenhagen Airport June 1. Around 30 daily turn-arounds will be taken care of by competent employees, that is already on board, with recruitment ongoing continiously. An experienced team of 20 persons from Nordic Aero is currently working at Copenhagen Airport with start-up arrangements. An investment of 30 million DKK has been made to secure high performance in the contract.
During the transfer phase there will be a cooperation between Nordic Aero and the current contract holder Penauille-Servisair, which will guarantee a smooth transfer of services. All parties involved have an interest that everything will be handled professionally, so the airlines operation will continue smoothly.

Arri Kallonen Managing Director at Nordic Aero comments the contract and entry to CPH. – We are very proud that we now are in the position to offer Full Ground Handling also at CPH Airport, and we are specially satisfied that it will be with Sterling Airlines, that we are already handling at Stockholm-Arlanda and Gothenburg Airport.
Our last three years as a Ground Handling provider, has been a training to find flexible service solutions, and this successful concept will now be transferred to Copenhagen. says Arri Kallonen.
